This notice covers the TrolleyLark website, waiting list and related emails. It does not cover information you may later enter in the iPhone app.
Who is responsible
TrolleyLark is operated by Calum Medlock, who is responsible for the personal data described here. For privacy questions, access requests or to leave the list, email hello@trolleylark.com.

What we collect and why
When you join, we collect your email address, your consent choices and a record of the submission, including its date and source page. We use these to manage the waiting list and email testing invitations and launch updates. If you separately opt in, we also send news, tips and promotions. These activities rely on your consent. Promotional consent is optional.
If you contact us, we use your email and message to respond, relying on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and supporting people interested in TrolleyLark.
Who processes the information
We use Hostinger to host this website, HubSpot to store signups and consent records and manage email subscriptions, and Apple iCloud Mail (through the existing iCloud+ plan) to receive email sent to hello@trolleylark.com. Messages are forwarded to a Gmail inbox provided by Google for correspondence. These services handle information as described in their applicable terms and privacy information. We do not sell your email address.
Our providers may process information in other countries. Where UK data protection law requires it, transfers must be covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Cookies and security information
This website does not currently load advertising or analytics scripts, or set cookies for tracking. The signup form sends information through our hosting server to HubSpot without loading HubSpot’s tracking script.
Our hosting provider may record technical information such as IP addresses and requested pages to operate and protect the service. The waiting-list and contact forms also temporarily keep hashed network identifiers to limit repeated submissions. We rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure, working website for these security measures.
How long we keep information
We keep waiting-list details while the list is active and the information is needed for the purposes you agreed to. We review the list at least annually and remove information that is no longer needed. If the project closes, we will close the waiting list and delete unneeded records.
You can withdraw consent at any time. We stop the relevant emails after you unsubscribe. We may retain a limited suppression record and evidence of consent where needed to respect your preferences and demonstrate compliance. Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to resolve them and retain an appropriate record.
Your choices and rights
Use the unsubscribe or preferences link in a subscription email, or email hello@trolleylark.com, to stop testing and launch emails, promotional emails, or both. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
About the waiting list
Joining is free. It does not install the app, guarantee a testing invitation or create a purchase. Testing invitations, when available, will explain the next steps and any applicable testing terms.
